During the summer, as the Digital Experience Lead, on the team, I led a major overhaul for the Aspiring Product Managers Club website to ensure a fresh experience for the new fall cohort.
Our goal was to create a website that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the club and simplifies their exploration process.
Problem Space
Disconnect between student clubs & students.
Student clubs are vital to the Northeastern campus community.
After a year of involvement in a student club, we identified a significant disconnect between clubs and students due to lack of online presence.

Highlights
The new design proved to be a success!
After launching the website, we used WIX Web Analytics and user feedback to evaluate its performance, track engagement, and make data-driven improvements.

KEYN INSIGHTS
As the course went on, students struggled with motivation
Why did the user struggle?
Initially, members show high levels of engagement and motivation. However, as they delve deeper into our offerings—such as programs, resources, and events—they often encounter navigation difficulties and a sense of overwhelming complexity.

Six Thinking Hats
Developed by Edward de Bono, this method involves looking at decisions from multiple perspectives, including emotional, informational, logical thinking, creative thinking, and planning. It can be highly effective during brainstorming sessions for a website redesign to ensure all aspects of the user experience are considered.
We defined key activities.
Assigned roles using a RACI Matrix.
Documented tasks using Notion
Created a RACI Matrix Chart.

What we did?
To kick off the proejct, we first needed to gain a comprehanive unswertanding of the current platform. We achieved this bya ttempting a vraiety of taska dn workflows that a apoetnetial or exisitng memeber fof AMPC might encouter.
The resulting experiences, both positive and negative, were documented in an Excel sheet.

How does this shape the final design?
With these insights, APMC has recognized the importance of implementing a redesign focused on automation, immediate objectives, and enhanced support resources. This approach is designed to help users establish a consistent learning routine and observe gradual progression, fostering a more engaging and effective experience.
Designing for the newness: redesigning the mobile and web version
while keeping the key workflows in mind
The new interface had to adhere to Northeastern University's brand guidelines, ensuring
consistency in colors, branding, and typography. The goal was for a faster, unified yet contextual
user flow and visual design so people can easily find what they're looking for.
