In 2024, I contributed to the successful launch of Vitras.ai, an innovative conversational AI platform, for the cove.tools — transforming architectural sustainability reporting and project management.
The web-app integrates AI-driven report generation, a dynamic chat interface, and an intuitive project tracker designed for client consulting workflows.

DESIGN PRINCIPLES
We designed our principles to reflect a futuristic vision for architecture and engineering, creating a unique product to build upon.
Why Dark Mode Design?
People hate blaring brightness in specific situations
Users have reported for our other tool that in low-light situations—such as lying in bed with the lights off or on a dimly lit airplane—light mode feels too bright and harsh.
Aesthetic preference was a valid user motivation
Vitras AI’s dark mode enhances usability, accessibility, and visual comfort for AEC professionals in low-light settings, reducing eye strain and improving readability with a sleek, intuitive UI.
Battery saving in OLED screens with 100% black
Dark mode offers minimal battery savings on OLED screens when using pure black. While our design incorporates a black base to enable this, our primary focus was not on battery efficiency but on enhancing usability and visual comfort.
Enhanced Visual Hierarchy for Clarity and Focus
Dark and light modes improved visual hierarchy, allowing important information to stand out while maintaining a clean, uncluttered interface and reducing cognitive load.

Test Hub’s defining feature was its ability to show users different types of data (audiovisual output, textual logs, and graphs).
To make the data easier and faster to interpret, my approach was to treat each data type as its own distinct module — again following the law of common region
(Figure 5.0).
